Privacy and Confidentiality
You can count on the privacy of our conversations. I will not disclose communications between us to anyone unless you have authorized me to do so by your signed consent.
I hold your confidentiality as sacred and indispensable to your trust in me to advocate for the best interests of your health and well being throughout the treatment process.
The law specifically recognizes and safeguards the confidentiality of therapist-client communications. There are specific exceptions where a therapist is mandated by law to bypass confidentiality in order to protect the life of the client, the life of someone else who has been threatened, or if there is suspicion of abuse of a child or a vulnerable elder.
If you have any questions about the confidentiality of our treatment alliance as you consider entering treatment, please do not hesitate to discuss these matters with me by writing at email@example.com, or by calling me at 201-647-6607.
